If I have made gold my hope, or said to the fine gold, 'You are my confidence;'

15 Though he slays me, yet will I trust in him; but I will defend my own ways before him.
15 And where now is my hope? As for my hope, who shall see it?
6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
27 If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and console myself:
28 I am afraid of all my sorrows; I know that You will not hold me innocent.
19 Will he value your riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
7 Look, this is the man that did not make God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

39 If I have eaten its fruits without payment, or caused the owners to lose their life;
3 O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there is iniquity in my hands;
25 And if it is not so, now, who will make me a liar and make my speech worth nothing?
9 If my heart has been deceived by a woman, or if I have lain in wait at my neighbor's door;
34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
24 The LORD is my portion, says my soul; therefore I will hope in Him.
20 Are not my days few? Cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
15 For in you, O LORD, do I hope; you will hear, O Lord my God.
16 For I said, 'Hear me, lest otherwise they rejoice over me; when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.'
10 Trust not in oppression, and do not become vain in robbery; if riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.
4 With your wisdom and with your understanding you have gained riches for yourself, and gathered gold and silver into your treasures:
