25Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will punish all those who are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
26Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all who are in the farthest corners, who dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.
27And Joshua made them that day woodcutters and water carriers for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even to this day, in the place which He would choose.
1And it happened a long time after the LORD had given rest to Israel from all their enemies all around, that Joshua grew old and advanced in age.
2And the LORD said to Joshua, See, I have given into your hand Jericho, and its king, and the mighty men of valor.
3And you shall surround the city, all you men of war, and go around the city once. You shall do this for six days.
24And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness where they chased them, and when they were all fallen by the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned to Ai and struck it with the edge of the sword.
5And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and every one of you take a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel,
22Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.
