Look, the day ends; lodge here, that your heart may be merry. Tomorrow go early on your way that you may go home."

    10 But the man would not remain that night; he got up and departed and came opposite Jebus, which is Jerusalem, and with him were two saddled donkeys; his concubine also was with him.

    11 When they were near Jebus, the day was far spent, and the servant said to his master, "Please come, let us turn aside into this city of the Jebusites and lodge in it."

    12 But his master said to him, "We will not turn aside into a city of foreigners, who are not of the children of Israel; we will go on to Gibeah."

    13 He said to his servant, "Come, let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night in Gibeah or in Ramah."

    14 So they passed on and went their way, and the sun went down upon them when they were near Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin.

    15 They turned aside there to go in to lodge in Gibeah, and when he went in, he sat down in a street of the city, for there was no one who took them into his house to lodge.

    12 And the tribes of Israel sent men throughout all the tribe of Benjamin, saying, What wickedness is this that is done among you?

    13 Now therefore deliver up the men, the worthless fellows, who are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and remove evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not listen to their brothers, the children of Israel.

    14 But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities to Gibeah, to go out to battle against the children of Israel.

    15 And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty-six thousand men who drew sword, besides the inhabitants of Gibeah, who numbered seven hundred chosen men.
