15 For if you turn away from following him, he will again leave them in the wilderness, and you will have destroyed all this people.
14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations they had not known. Thus the land became desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned: for they made the pleasant land desolate.
63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it.
39 Again, they are diminished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
13 And the LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the LORD was consumed.
2 And it shall come to pass, if they say to you, Where shall we go forth? then you shall tell them, Thus says the LORD; Those for death, to death; and those for the sword, to the sword; and those for the famine, to the famine; and those for the captivity, to the captivity.
5 The Lord was like an enemy: He has swallowed up Israel, He has swallowed up all her palaces: He has destroyed His strongholds, and has increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.
14 And they struck all the cities around Gerar, for the fear of the LORD came upon them, and they plundered all the cities, for there was very much spoil in them.
31 The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and struck down the chosen men of Israel.
9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold of other gods, and have worshiped them, and served them: therefore, the LORD has brought upon them all this evil.
