16And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding by lifting up the voice with joy.
7The number of them, along with their brethren who were instructed in the songs of the LORD, all who were skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.

33These are the singers, ancestors of the Levites, who stayed in the chambers and were exempt from other duties because they were employed in that work day and night.

24And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren opposite them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, group by group.
32And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem; and then they waited on their office according to their order.
25And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.
