11 And I said, Should a man like me flee? And who is there like me, who would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.
6 But all this time I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon, I had come to the king. After some time, I obtained leave from the king,
7 and I came to Jerusalem and discovered the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah by preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God.
8 This upset me very much; so I threw all of Tobiah’s household goods out of the room.
10 When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that a man had come to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.
11 So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.
16 And it happened, when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us saw these things, they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they realized that this work was done by our God.
17 Moreover, in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters to Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came to them.
18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me, and also the king's words that he had spoken to me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian heard it, they mocked us and despised us, and said, What is this thing that you do? Will you rebel against the king?
20 Then I answered them and said to them, The God of heaven will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build; but you have no portion, nor right, nor memorial in Jerusalem.
16 And the rulers did not know where I had gone, or what I had done; I had not yet told it to the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the rulers, or the rest who did the work.
28 And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was a son-in-law of Sanballat the Horonite; therefore, I drove him from me.
9 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie.
4 Before this, Eliashib the priest, who was in charge of the chambers of the house of our God, was allied with Tobiah;
3 Now Tobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, Even what they build, if a fox goes up, he will break down their stone wall.
4 Hear, O our God; for we are despised: turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them as prey in a land of captivity:

12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it. Neither was it one who hated me that exalted himself against me; then I would have hidden from him,
31 Send to all the exiles, saying, Thus says the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you and I did not send him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie.
15 For I have not sent them, says the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that you might perish, you, and the prophets that prophesy to you.
7 Then I consulted with myself and rebuked the nobles and rulers, and said to them, You are charging interest, each one from his brother. And I called a great assembly against them.
14 Then the LORD said to me, 'The prophets prophesy lies in My name; I have not sent them, nor commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision and divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.'
20 But, O LORD of hosts, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for I have presented my case to you.
9 For they prophesy falsely to you in my name: I have not sent them, says the LORD.
21 Then I warned them, and said to them, Why do you spend the night around the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time on they came no more on the Sabbath.
2 That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man and feared God above many.
27 Now therefore, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who makes himself a prophet to you?
2 Therefore the king said to me, Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This is nothing but sorrow of heart. Then I was very much afraid,
3 At the same time, Tatnai, governor on this side of the river, and Shetharboznai, and their companions, came to them and said, Who has commanded you to build this house and to finish this wall?
