    10 Afterward I came to the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was confined; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to kill you; indeed, at night they will come to kill you.

    11 And I said, Should a man like me flee? And who is there like me, who would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.

  • 7 Then I consulted with myself and rebuked the nobles and rulers, and said to them, You are charging interest, each one from his brother. And I called a great assembly against them.

  • 14 Then the LORD said to me, 'The prophets prophesy lies in My name; I have not sent them, nor commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision and divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.'

  • 20 But, O LORD of hosts, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for I have presented my case to you.

  • 9 For they prophesy falsely to you in my name: I have not sent them, says the LORD.

  • 21 Then I warned them, and said to them, Why do you spend the night around the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time on they came no more on the Sabbath.
