6Repay her even as she repaid you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled, fill to her double.
7And you said, 'I shall be a lady forever,' so that you did not lay these things to heart, nor remember their end.
8Therefore hear this now, you that are given to pleasures, that dwell carelessly, that say in your heart, 'I am, and there is none else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, nor shall I know the loss of children.'
14And the fruits that your soul longed for have departed from you, and all things which were luxurious and splendid have departed from you, and you shall find them no more at all.
15The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, shall stand far off for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17For in one hour such great riches came to nothing. And every captain, and all who travel by ship, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood far off,
18And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like this great city!
19And they threw dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea were made rich by her wealth! for in one hour she is made desolate.
20Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has avenged you on her.

6And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus; and when I saw her, I marveled with great wonder.

22Indeed I will cast her into a bed of suffering, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.

15Then he said to me, The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages.
16The ten horns which you saw on the beast will hate the prostitute, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
8Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yes, she sighs, and turns backward.
9Her filthiness is in her skirts; she does not remember her last end; therefore she came down astonishingly: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself.
19And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell; and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
35Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD;
12She has wearied herself with lies, and her great scum did not go out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.
38And I will judge you, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give you blood in fury and jealousy.
41And they shall burn your houses with fire, and execute judgments upon you in the sight of many women; and I will cause you to cease from playing the harlot, and you also shall give no remuneration any more.
