31In that you build your eminent place at the head of every way, and make your high place in every street; and have not been as a harlot, that scorns payment;
32But as a wife that commits adultery, who takes strangers instead of her husband!
25Let not your heart incline to her ways, do not stray in her paths.
26For she has cast down many wounded; indeed, many strong men have been slain by her.
27Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
42And a voice of a multitude at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, who put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
43Then said I to her who was old in adulteries, Will they now commit harlotries with her, and she with them?
8Passing through the street near her corner, and he went the way to her house,
7As much as she has glorified herself, and lived luxuriously, give her that much torment and sorrow: for she says in her heart, I sit as a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
1Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
2She did not obey the voice; she did not receive correction; she did not trust in the LORD; she did not draw near to her God.
3Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they do not gnaw the bones until the morning.
8Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yes, she sighs, and turns backward.
9Her filthiness is in her skirts; she does not remember her last end; therefore she came down astonishingly: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself.
10The adversary has spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she has seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom you commanded that they should not enter into your congregation.
15This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how has she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! Everyone that passes by her shall hiss, and shake his hand.
7As a fountain casts out her waters, so she casts out her wickedness; violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually are grief and wounds.
4Because of the multitude of the harlotries of the well-favored harlot, the mistress of sorceries, who sells nations through her harlotries, and families through her sorceries.
10Who is she who looks forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and awesome as an army with banners?
15What has my beloved to do in my house, seeing she has worked lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? When you do evil, then you rejoice.
35Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD;
9And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her, shall mourn and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning,
15Shout against her all around: she has surrendered: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she has done, do unto her.
25You have built your high place at every head of the way, and have made your beauty to be abhorred, and have opened your feet to everyone that passed by, and multiplied your whoredoms.
2I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loves: I sought him, but I did not find him.
14And that she increased her harlotries: for when she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,
29From there it seeks its prey, and its eyes see afar off.
17Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18For her house leads down to death, and her paths to the dead.
7For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it on the top of a rock; she did not pour it on the ground, to cover it with dust;
