6Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is in it, and whose scum has not gone out! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.
15This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how has she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! Everyone that passes by her shall hiss, and shake his hand.
6For thus has the LORD of hosts said, Cut down trees, and build a mound against Jerusalem. This is the city to be visited; she is full of oppression in her midst.
7As a fountain casts out her waters, so she casts out her wickedness; violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually are grief and wounds.
1How does the city sit solitary, that was full of people! How has she become like a widow! She who was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, has become a tributary!
2She weeps bitterly in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she has none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they have become her enemies.
10Day and night they go about it upon its walls; mischief and sorrow are in the midst of it.
11Wickedness is in the midst of it; deceit and guile do not depart from its streets.
35Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD;
12Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!
5Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children have gone into captivity before the enemy.
23And it came to pass after all your wickedness, (woe, woe unto you! says the Lord GOD;)
8For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen, because their speech and their actions are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of His glory.
9The look on their faces testifies against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they do not hide it. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
10Arise and depart, for this is not your rest; because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a severe destruction.
27I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your whoredom, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you not be made clean? When shall it once be?
17Zion spreads forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD has commanded concerning Jacob that his adversaries should be all around him: Jerusalem is like a menstruous woman among them.
9And it came to pass through the frivolity of her whoredom, that she polluted the land and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.
3Then say, Thus says the Lord GOD, The city sheds blood in its midst, that her time may come, and makes idols against herself to defile herself.
3She has sent out her maidens: she cries out on the highest places of the city,
1Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, who are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!
14O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?
12She has wearied herself with lies, and her great scum did not go out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.
13In your filthiness is depravity: because I have purged you, and you were not purged, you shall not be purged of your filthiness anymore, until I have caused my fury to rest upon you.
7As much as she has glorified herself, and lived luxuriously, give her that much torment and sorrow: for she says in her heart, I sit as a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
9For her wound is incurable; for it has come to Judah; it has reached the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
6And she has changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries around her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.
4Because of the multitude of the harlotries of the well-favored harlot, the mistress of sorceries, who sells nations through her harlotries, and families through her sorceries.
5Behold, I am against you, says the LORD of hosts; and I will lift your skirts over your face, and I will show the nations your nakedness, and the kingdoms your shame.
6And I will cast abominable filth upon you, and make you vile, and will set you as a spectacle.
12Therefore for your sake Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
5For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
15Shout against her all around: she has surrendered: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she has done, do unto her.
9Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pyre large.
24Son of man, say to her, You are the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
2Lift up your eyes to the high places and see where you have not been violated. On the roads you have sat for them, like an Arabian in the wilderness; and you have polluted the land with your whoredoms and your wickedness.
11Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given to him.
8And I will make this city desolate, and an object of scorn; everyone who passes by it shall be astonished and hiss because of all its plagues.
15What has my beloved to do in my house, seeing she has worked lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? When you do evil, then you rejoice.
16And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
