1Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
23but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
24Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
4But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
2And walk in love, as Christ also loved us, and gave himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.

8But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
2And he is the atonement for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
9But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
