37And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare seed– perhaps of wheat or something else.
38But God gives it a body just as he planned, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.
39All flesh is not the same: People have one flesh, animals have another, birds and fish another.
40And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. The glory of the heavenly body is one sort and the earthly another.
41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon and another glory of the stars, for star differs from star in glory.
42It is the same with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.
43It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
44it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45So also it is written,“The first man, Adam, became a living person”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46However, the spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and then the spiritual.
47The first man is from the earth, made of dust; the second man is from heaven.
48Like the one made of dust, so too are those made of dust, and like the one from heaven, so too those who are heavenly.
50Now this is what I am saying, brothers and sisters: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
51Listen, I will tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed–
52in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
53For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
54Now when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will happen,“Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
1Living by Faith, Not by Sight For we know that if our earthly house, the tent we live in, is dismantled, we have a building from God, a house not built by human hands, that is eternal in the heavens.
2For in this earthly house we groan, because we desire to put on our heavenly dwelling,
3if indeed, after we have put on our heavenly house, we will not be found naked.
4For we groan while we are in this tent, since we are weighed down, because we do not want to be unclothed, but clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
5Now the one who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment.
1(See what sort of love the Father has given to us: that we should be called God’s children– and indeed we are! For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know him.
2Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.
18And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
10always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our body.
11For we who are alive are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our mortal body.
12As a result, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
20But our citizenship is in heaven– and we also eagerly await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
21who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.
5For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united in the likeness of his resurrection.
17And if children, then heirs(namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)– if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.
18For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared to the coming glory that will be revealed to us.
22For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
35The Resurrection Body But someone will say,“How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”
4When Christ(who is your life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him.
19For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.
17Then we who are alive, who are left, will be suddenly caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
7An Eternal Weight of Glory But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that the extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us.
10and have been clothed with the new man that is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of the one who created it.
15For we tell you this by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will surely not go ahead of those who have fallen asleep.
23Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies.
17For our momentary, light suffering is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison
18because we are not looking at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen. For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.
5so we who are many are one body in Christ, and individually we are members who belong to one another.
24For all flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of the grass; the grass withers and the flower falls off,
8because the person who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
11If we sowed spiritual blessings among you, is it too much to reap material things from you?
14We do so because we know that the one who raised up Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus and will bring us with you into his presence.
15The Supremacy of Christ He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation,
