Now Adonijah, son of David and Haggith, was promoting himself, boasting,“I will be king!” He managed to acquire chariots and horsemen, as well as fifty men to serve as his royal guard.

וַאֲדֹנִיָּ֧ה בֶן־חַגִּ֛ית מִתְנַשֵּׂ֥א לֵאמֹ֖ר אֲנִ֣י אֶמְלֹ֑ךְ וַיַּ֣עַשׂ ל֗וֹ רֶ֚כֶב וּפָ֣רָשִׁ֔ים וַחֲמִשִּׁ֥ים אִ֖ישׁ רָצִ֥ים לְפָנָֽיו׃

Transliteration

And Adoniyah son of-Haggit nasa saying, "I will malak," and he asah for himself rekeb and parash, and fifty ish ruts before him.

I will grant to his dynasty permanent rule over Israel.’ 11 “Now, my son, may the LORD be with you! May you succeed and build a temple for the LORD your God, just as he announced you would.
