13 Visit King David and say to him,‘My master, O king, did you not solemnly promise your servant,“Surely your son Solomon will be king after me; he will sit on my throne”? So why has Adonijah become king?’

19 Make my son Solomon willing to obey your commands, rules, and regulations, and to complete building the palace for which I have made preparations.”
4 and the LORD will fulfill his promise to me,‘If your descendants watch their step and live faithfully in my presence with all their heart and being, then,’ he promised,‘you will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’
24 Now, as certainly as the LORD lives(he who made me secure, allowed me to sit on my father David’s throne, and established a dynasty for me as he promised), Adonijah will be executed today!”
14 If you follow my instructions by obeying my rules and regulations, just as your father David did, then I will grant you long life.”
25 So now, O LORD God, make this promise you have made about your servant and his family a permanent reality. Do as you promised,
7 When Hiram heard Solomon’s message, he was very happy. He said,“The LORD is worthy of praise today because he has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation.”
