10So Saul said to his servant,“That’s a good idea! Come on. Let’s go.” So they went to the town where the man of God was.
11As they were going up the ascent to the town, they met some girls coming out to draw water. They said to them,“Is this where the seer is?”
13When you enter the town, you can find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people won’t eat until he arrives, for he must bless the sacrifice. Once that happens, those who have been invited will eat. Now go on up, for this is the time when you can find him!”
14So they went up to the town. As they were heading for the middle of the town, Samuel was coming in their direction to go up to the high place.
15Now the day before Saul arrived, the LORD had told Samuel:
18As Saul approached Samuel in the middle of the gate, he said,“Please tell me where the seer’s house is.”
19Samuel replied to Saul,“I am the seer! Go up in front of me to the high place! Today you will eat with me and in the morning I will send you away. I will tell you everything that you are thinking.
7The king asked them,“Describe the appearance of this man who came up to meet you and told you these things.”
14and took off after the prophet, whom he found sitting under an oak tree. He asked him,“Are you the prophet from Judah?” He answered,“Yes, I am.”
15He then said to him,“Come home with me and eat something.”
22So they inquired again of the LORD,“Has the man arrived here yet?” The LORD said,“He has hidden himself among the equipment.”
23So they ran and brought him from there. When he took his position among the people, he stood head and shoulders above them all.

13When Saul had finished prophesying, he went to the high place.
12Their father asked them,“Which road did he take?” His sons showed him the road the prophet from Judah had taken.
12But they said,“You’re lying! Tell us what he said.” So he told them what he had said. He also related how he had said,“This is what the LORD has said,‘I have designated you as king over Israel.’”

4Samuel did what the LORD told him. When he arrived in Bethlehem, the elders of the city were afraid to meet him. They said,“Do you come in peace?”
5He replied,“Yes, in peace. I have come to sacrifice to the LORD. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” So he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.
27While they were going down to the edge of town, Samuel said to Saul,“Tell the servant to go on ahead of us.” So he did. Samuel then said,“You remain here awhile, so I can inform you of God’s message.”
19Then Elisha said to them,“This is not the right road or city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man you’re looking for.” He led them to Samaria.
12He told his servant Gehazi,“Ask the Shunammite woman to come here.” So he did so and she came to him.
9In the morning he went out and stood there. Then he said to all the people,“You are innocent. I conspired against my master and killed him. But who struck down all of these men?

9He went into a cave there and spent the night. All of a sudden the LORD’s message came to him,“Why are you here, Elijah?”

12Then Samuel got up early to meet Saul the next morning. But Samuel was informed,“Saul has gone to Carmel where he is setting up a monument for himself.” Then Samuel left and went down to Gilgal.
4They will ask you how you’re doing and will give you two loaves of bread. You will accept them.
5Afterward you will go to Gibeah of God, where there are Philistine officials. When you enter the town, you will meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place. They will have harps, tambourines, flutes, and lyres, and they will be prophesying.
10Just when he had finished offering the burnt offering, Samuel appeared on the scene. Saul went out to meet him and to greet him.
5When he arrived, the officers of the army were sitting there. So he said,“I have a message for you, O officer.” Jehu asked,“For which one of us?” He replied,“For you, O officer.”
2When you leave me today, you will find two men near Rachel’s tomb at Zelzah on Benjamin’s border. They will say to you,‘The donkeys you have gone looking for have been found. Your father is no longer concerned about the donkeys but has become anxious about you two! He is asking,“What should I do about my son?”’
7When he turned around and saw me, he called out to me. I answered,‘Here I am!’
25When they came down from the high place to the town, Samuel spoke with Saul on the roof.
17But they were so insistent, he became embarrassed. So he said,“Send them out.” They sent the fifty men out and they looked for three days, but could not find Elijah.
11So Manoah got up and followed his wife. When he met the man, he said to him,“Are you the man who spoke to my wife?” He said,“Yes.”
9She said to her husband,“Look, I’m sure that the man who regularly passes through here is a very special prophet.
