10“Tell King Hezekiah of Judah this:‘Don’t let your God in whom you trust mislead you when he says,“Jerusalem will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.”
11Certainly you have heard how the kings of Assyria have annihilated all lands. Do you really think you will be rescued?
1The Lord Hears Hezekiah’s Prayer In those days Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz visited him and told him,“This is what the LORD says,‘Give instructions to your household, for you are about to die; you will not get well.’”
2At that time the LORD announced through Isaiah son of Amoz:“Go, remove the sackcloth from your waist and take your sandals off your feet.” He did as instructed and walked around in undergarments and barefoot.
3Later the LORD explained,“In the same way that my servant Isaiah has walked around in undergarments and barefoot for the past three years, as an object lesson and omen pertaining to Egypt and Cush,
10“Tell King Hezekiah of Judah this:‘Don’t let your God in whom you trust mislead you when he says,“Jerusalem will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.”

9In that day,” says the Sovereign LORD,“I will make the sun set at noon, and make the earth dark in the middle of the day.
3Isaiah the prophet visited King Hezekiah and asked him,“What did these men say? Where do they come from?” Hezekiah replied,“They come from the distant land of Babylon.”
21You will hear a word spoken behind you, saying,“This is the correct way, walk in it,” whether you are heading to the right or the left.
15This is what the Sovereign LORD of Heaven’s Armies, says:“Go visit this administrator, Shebna, who supervises the palace, and tell him:
6On that day there will be no light– the sources of light in the heavens will congeal.
6While they are watching, raise your baggage onto your shoulder and carry it out in the dark. You must cover your face so that you cannot see the ground because I have made you an object lesson to the house of Israel.”
32So this is what the LORD has said about the king of Assyria:“He will not enter this city, nor will he shoot an arrow here. He will not attack it with his shield-carrying warriors, nor will he build siege works against it.
