20 But Peter said to him,“May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire God’s gift with money!

4 Or do you have contempt for the wealth of his kindness, forbearance, and patience, and yet do not know that God’s kindness leads you to repentance?
5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!
7 Therefore do not be sharers with them,
19 But Peter and John replied,“Whether it is right before God to obey you rather than God, you decide,
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
8 Peter said to him,“You will never wash my feet!” Jesus replied,“If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.”
6 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because you think you are godlike,
26 I tell you the truth, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny!
8 But you yourselves wrong and cheat, and you do this to your brothers and sisters!
33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves purses that do not wear out– a treasure in heaven that never decreases, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
20 But God said to him,‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
21 So it is with the one who stores up riches for himself, but is not rich toward God.”
15 But Jesus said to them,“You are the ones who justify yourselves in men’s eyes, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly prized among men is utterly detestable in God’s sight.
4 If so, have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil motives?
47 The one who belongs to God listens and responds to God’s words. You don’t listen and respond, because you don’t belong to God.”
17 But you are always thinking and looking for ways to increase your wealth by dishonest means. Your eyes and your heart are set on killing some innocent person and committing fraud and oppression.
8 Can a person rob God? You indeed are robbing me, but you say,‘How are we robbing you?’ In tithes and contributions!
47 If your eye causes you to sin, tear it out! It is better to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,

1 The Condemnation of the Moralist Therefore you are without excuse, whoever you are, when you judge someone else. For on whatever grounds you judge another, you condemn yourself, because you who judge practice the same things.
12 For if the eagerness is present, the gift itself is acceptable according to whatever one has, not according to what he does not have.

17 Because you say,“I am rich and have acquired great wealth, and need nothing,” but do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked,
10 and said,“You who are full of all deceit and all wrongdoing, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness– will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?
18 “The way you have lived and the things you have done will bring this on you. This is the punishment you deserve, and it will be painful indeed. The pain will be so bad it will pierce your heart.”
8 And God, who knows the heart, has testified to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us,
9 and he made no distinction between them and us, cleansing their hearts by faith.
33 But after turning and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said,“Get behind me, Satan. You are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but on man’s.”
8 You must not give in to him or even listen to him; do not feel sympathy for him or spare him or cover up for him.
12 They take bribes within you to shed blood. You engage in usury and charge interest; you extort money from your neighbors. You have forgotten me, declares the Sovereign LORD.
34 Then Peter started speaking:“I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism in dealing with people,
42 but I know you, that you do not have the love of God within you.
8 This persuasion does not come from the one who calls you!
5 Therefore no one will assign you land in the LORD’s community.
23 But he turned and said to Peter,“Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, because you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but on man’s.”
3 And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their condemnation pronounced long ago is not sitting idly by; their destruction is not asleep.
41 But give from your heart to those in need, and then everything will be clean for you.
14 Therefore be resolved not to rehearse ahead of time how to make your defense.
30 If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away! It is better to lose one of your members than to have your whole body go into hell.
13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
18 When you see a thief, you join him; you associate with men who are unfaithful to their wives.
