3“You have circled around this mountain long enough; now turn north.

21So Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border; therefore Israel turned away from him.
22Aaron’s Death So the entire company of Israelites traveled from Kadesh and came to Mount Hor.
1Israel at Sinai In the third month after the Israelites went out from the land of Egypt, on the very day, they came to the desert of Sinai.
2After they journeyed from Rephidim, they came to the desert of Sinai, and they camped in the desert; Israel camped there in front of the mountain.
25(Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites were living in the valleys.) Tomorrow, turn and journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.”

1¶ Organizing the Census of the Israelites Now the LORD spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites departed from the land of Egypt. He said:
22So all of you approached me and said,“Let’s send some men ahead of us to scout out the land and bring us back word as to how we should attack it and what the cities are like there.”
27“Let me pass through your land; I will keep strictly to the roadway. I will not turn aside to the right or the left.
17the LORD said to me,
10For we heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you left Egypt and how you annihilated the two Amorite kings, Sihon and Og, on the other side of the Jordan.
11Then he said to me,“Get up, set out leading the people so they may go and possess the land I promised to give to their ancestors.”
33the one who would go before you on the way to find places for you to camp, appearing in a fire at night and in a cloud by day to show you the way you ought to go.
28These were the traveling arrangements of the Israelites according to their companies when they traveled.
