  • 1¶ The Covenant Setting This is what Moses said to all of Israel in the Transjordanian wilderness, the arid rift valley opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Di Zahab.

  • 5And he sent messengers to Balaam son of Beor at Pethor, which is by the Euphrates River in the land of Amaw, to summon him, saying,“Look, a nation has come out of Egypt. They cover the face of the earth, and they are settling next to me.

  • 13Now, get up and cross the Wadi Zered.” So we did so.

  • 1The Death of Moses Then Moses ascended from the rift valley plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the summit of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. The LORD showed him the whole land– Gilead to Dan,

  • 23and the LORD commissioned Joshua son of Nun,“Be strong and courageous, for you will take the Israelites to the land I have promised them, and I will be with you.”
