9 He said to his father and mother,“I have not seen him,” and he did not acknowledge his own brothers or know his own children, for they kept your word, and guarded your covenant.
10 He has brought you near and all your brothers, the sons of Levi, with you. Do you now seek the priesthood also?
4 Then you will know that I sent this commandment to you so that my covenant may continue to be with Levi,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.
48 The LORD had said to Moses,
49 “Only the tribe of Levi you must not number or count with the other Israelites.
50 But appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, over all its furnishings and over everything in it. They must carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they must attend to it and camp around it.
