1Paul’s Relationship to the Divine Mystery For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles
2if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
3that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly.

3in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
8To me– less than the least of all the saints– this grace was given, to proclaim to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ
9and to enlighten everyone about God’s secret plan– the mystery that has been hidden for ages in God who has created all things.
10The purpose of this enlightenment is that through the church the multifaceted wisdom of God should now be disclosed to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly realms.
11This was according to the eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,
24Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my physical body– for the sake of his body, the church– what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ.
25I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship from God– given to me for you– in order to complete the word of God,
26that is, the mystery that has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but has now been revealed to his saints.
27God wanted to make known to them the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
17I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, will give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of him,
18– since the eyes of your heart have been enlightened– so that you can know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
19and what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe, as displayed in the exercise of his immense strength.
16I pray that according to the wealth of his glory he will grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,
17that Christ will dwell in your hearts through faith, so that, because you have been rooted and grounded in love,
18you will be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
19and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you will be filled up to all the fullness of God.
20Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think,
3At the same time pray for us too, that God may open a door for the message so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.
4Pray that I may make it known as I should.
19Pray for me also, that I may be given the right words when I begin to speak– that I may confidently make known the mystery of the gospel,
7You learned the gospel from Epaphras, our dear fellow slave– a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf–
8who also told us of your love in the Spirit.

14Prayer for Strengthened Love For this reason I kneel before the Father,
2You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone,
3revealing that you are a letter of Christ, delivered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on stone tablets but on tablets of human hearts.
6I pray that the faith you share with us may deepen your understanding of every blessing that belongs to you in Christ.
18They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.
14But their minds were closed. For to this very day, the same veil remains when they hear the old covenant read. It has not been removed because only in Christ is it taken away.
12Epaphras, who is one of you and a slave of Christ, greets you. He is always struggling in prayer on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.
15Therefore let those of us who are“perfect” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways.
5For you were made rich in every way in him, in all your speech and in every kind of knowledge–
