9“Son of man, has not the house of Israel, that rebellious house, said to you,‘What are you doing?’

20But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” Know for certain that the LORD has spoken.
17“Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must give them a warning from me.
7But listen to what I say to you and to all these people.
17“But you, Jeremiah, get yourself ready! Go and tell these people everything I instruct you to say. Do not be terrified of them, or I will give you good reason to be terrified of them.
9For these are rebellious people– they are lying children, children unwilling to obey the LORD’s law.
4Tell them that the LORD says,‘You must obey me! You must live according to the way I have instructed you in my laws.
25For I, the LORD, will speak. Whatever word I speak will be accomplished. It will not be delayed any longer. Indeed in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and accomplish it, declares the Sovereign LORD.’”
10I answered,“Who would listen if I spoke to them and warned them? Their ears are so closed that they cannot hear! Indeed, the LORD’s message is offensive to them. They do not like it at all.

31They come to you in crowds, and they sit in front of you as my people. They hear your words, but do not obey them. For they talk lustfully, and their heart is set on their own advantage.
32Realize that to them you are like a sensual song, a beautiful voice and skilled musician. They hear your words, but they do not obey them.
3Tell them that the LORD, the God of Israel, says,‘Anyone who does not keep the terms of the covenant will be under a curse.
4Therefore, prophesy against them! Prophesy, son of man!”
7The LORD said to me,“Do not say,‘I am too young.’ But go to whomever I send you and say whatever I tell you.
6Say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel,‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Enough of all your abominable practices, O house of Israel!
21While you were feeling secure I gave you warning. But you said,“I refuse to listen to you.” That is the way you have acted from your earliest history onward. Indeed, you have never paid attention to me.
8But they did not listen to me or pay any attention to me! Each one of them followed the stubborn inclinations of his own wicked heart. So I brought on them all the punishments threatened in the covenant because they did not carry out its terms as I commanded them to do.’”
