16So they sent word to Joseph, saying,“Your father gave these instructions before he died:
17‘Tell Joseph this: Please forgive the sin of your brothers and the wrong they did when they treated you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sin of the servants of the God of your father.” When this message was reported to him, Joseph wept.
18Then his brothers also came and threw themselves down before him; they said,“Here we are; we are your slaves.”

31Then Joseph said to his brothers and his father’s household,“I will go up and tell Pharaoh,‘My brothers and my father’s household who were in the land of Canaan have come to me.
15for I really was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews and I have done nothing wrong here for which they should put me in a dungeon.”
14But Joseph told them,“It is just as I said to you: You are spies!
9There is no one greater in this household than I am. He has withheld nothing from me except you because you are his wife. So how could I do such a great evil and sin against God?”
14May the Sovereign God grant you mercy before the man so that he may release your other brother and Benjamin! As for me, if I lose my children I lose them.”
39So Pharaoh said to Joseph,“Because God has enabled you to know all this, there is no one as wise and discerning as you are!
21Then Israel said to Joseph,“I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you back to the land of your fathers.
18But the men were afraid when they were brought to Joseph’s house. They said,“We are being brought in because of the money that was returned in our sacks last time. He wants to capture us, make us slaves, and take our donkeys!”
11Abraham replied,“Because I thought,‘Surely no one fears God in this place. They will kill me because of my wife.’
44Pharaoh also said to Joseph,“I am Pharaoh, but without your permission no one will move his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.”
17He sent a man ahead of them– Joseph was sold as a servant.
