7The LORD asked,“How can I leave you unpunished, Jerusalem? Your people have rejected me and have worshiped gods that are not gods at all. Even though I supplied all their needs, they were like an unfaithful wife to me. They went flocking to the houses of prostitutes.
17I was angry because of their sinful greed; I attacked them and angrily rejected them, yet they remained disobedient and stubborn.
18I have seen their behavior, but I will heal them. I will lead them, and I will provide comfort to them and those who mourn with them.
15But after I have uprooted the people of those nations, I will relent and have pity on them. I will restore the people of each of those nations to their own lands and to their own country.
15With furious anger I will carry out vengeance on the nations that do not obey me.”

19For after we turned away from you we repented. After we came to our senses we struck our thigh in sorrow. We are ashamed and humiliated because of the disgraceful things we did previously.’

10When I please, I will discipline them; I will gather nations together to attack them, to bind them in chains for their two sins.
17I will wait patiently for the LORD, who has rejected the family of Jacob; I will wait for him.
7My people are obsessed with turning away from me; they call to Baal, but he will never exalt them!
11The LORD said,“Jerusalem, I will surely send you away for your own good. I will surely bring the enemy upon you in a time of trouble and distress.
16In this way I will pass sentence on the people of Jerusalem and Judah because of all their wickedness. For they rejected me and offered sacrifices to other gods, worshiping what they made with their own hands.”
6“I(says the LORD) will strengthen the kingdom of Judah and deliver the people of Joseph and will bring them back because of my compassion for them. They will be as though I had never rejected them, for I am the LORD their God and therefore I will hear them.
