10I have not failed to tell about your justice; I spoke about your reliability and deliverance; I have not neglected to tell the great assembly about your loyal love and faithfulness.
5This is what the Lord says:“What fault could your ancestors have possibly found in me that they strayed so far from me? They paid allegiance to worthless idols, and so became worthless to me.
12I decreed and delivered and proclaimed, and there was no other god among you. You are my witnesses,” says the LORD,“that I am God.
26Who decreed this from the beginning, so we could know? Who announced it ahead of time, so we could say,‘He’s correct’? Indeed, none of them decreed it! Indeed, none of them announced it! Indeed, no one heard you say anything!
4But I thought,“I have worked in vain; I have expended my energy for absolutely nothing.” But the LORD will vindicate me; my God will reward me.

9Look, my earlier predictive oracles have come to pass; now I announce new events. Before they begin to occur, I reveal them to you.”

10They will know that I am the LORD; my threats to bring this catastrophe on them were not empty.’
16But I have not pestered you to bring disaster. I have not desired the time of irreparable devastation. You know that. You are fully aware of every word that I have spoken.
11The Lord Encourages Isaiah Indeed this is what the LORD told me quite forcefully. He warned me not to act like these people:
31You people of this generation, listen to the LORD’s message.“Have I been like a wilderness to you, Israel? Have I been like a dark and dangerous land to you? Why then do you say,‘We are free to wander. We will not come to you any more?’
5Are you looking for great things for yourself? Do not look for such things. For I, the LORD, affirm that I am about to bring disaster on all humanity. But I will allow you to escape with your life wherever you go.”’”
29I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.”
3‘Call on me in prayer and I will answer you. I will show you great and mysterious things which you still do not know about.’
6The LORD said to me,“Announce all the following words in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem:‘Listen to the terms of my covenant with you and carry them out!
8This is what the LORD says:“At the time I decide to show my favor, I will respond to you; in the day of deliverance I will help you; I will protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, to rebuild the land and to reassign the desolate property.
