3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy became our father again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn't fade away, reserved in Heaven for you,
4even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love;
5having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,
6to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely bestowed favor on us in the Beloved,
8who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
15For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints,
17But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
11To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith, with power;
7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.
5hearing of your love, and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;
6that the fellowship of your faith may become effective, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus.

20who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed at the end of times for your sake,
21who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.
22Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently:
13The children of your chosen sister greet you. Amen.
5Beloved, you do a faithful work in whatever you accomplish for those who are brothers and strangers.
2Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

4so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.

12But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you,

6even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
1Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's chosen ones, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
7and in godliness brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
9But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things for you, and things that accompany salvation, even though we speak like this.
3knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
1Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn't know us, because it didn't know him.
18Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
10that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
