Then shall the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem go and cry to the gods to which they offer incense: but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble.

  • 19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.

  • 12 From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, yet God doesn't regard the folly.

  • 17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem 'The throne of Yahweh;' and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of Yahweh, to Jerusalem. Neither shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.

  • 11 Has a nation changed [its] gods, which really are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit.

  • 14 They haven't cried to me with their heart, but they howl on their beds. They assemble themselves for grain and new wine. They turn away from me.

  • 5 But I will send a fire on Judah, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem."
