Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest. 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true, One sows and another reaps. 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.

- Ps 65:9-9 : 9 You visit the earth and water it; You greatly enrich it with the river of God, which is full of water; You prepare them grain, for so You have provided for it. 10 You water its ridges abundantly; You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers; You bless its growth. 11 You crown the year with Your goodness; and Your paths drip with abundance. 12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness; and the little hills rejoice on every side. 13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing.

- Matt 13:3-9 : 3 And He told them many things in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where there was not much soil, and they immediately sprang up because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7 Some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. 8 But others fell on good soil and yielded a crop—some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
- Matt 13:18-30 : 18 Listen then to what the parable of the sower means. 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But they have no root and last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown. 24 He put another parable before them: The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. 27 The owner's servants came to him and said, Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from? 28 He replied, An enemy did this. The servants asked him, Do you want us to go and pull them up? 29 No, he answered, because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.
- Matt 13:36-42 : 36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field. 37 He answered, The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. 40 As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

- Isa 5:1-7 : 1 Now I will sing to my beloved a song of my beloved concerning his vineyard. My beloved has a vineyard on a very fruitful hill: 2 And he fenced it, and removed its stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress in it: and he expected it to bring forth grapes, but it brought forth wild grapes. 3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard. 4 What more could have been done to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to bring forth grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes? 5 And now, I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down: 6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor dug; but briers and thorns shall come up: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are his pleasant plant: and he looked for justice, but behold, oppression; for righteousness, but behold, a cry.

- Isa 28:24-29 : 24 Does the plowman plow all day to sow? does he open and break the clods of his ground? 25 When he has leveled its surface, does he not sow the black cumin and scatter the cumin, plant the wheat in rows, the barley in its appointed place, and the spelt in its place? 26 For his God instructs him in right judgment, his God teaches him. 27 For the black cumin is not threshed with a threshing instrument, nor is a cartwheel rolled over the cumin; but the black cumin is beaten out with a stick, and the cumin with a rod. 28 Bread grain is crushed, yet he does not thresh it forever, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor crush it with his horsemen. 29 This also comes from the LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.

- John 15:1-8 : 1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may produce more fruit. 3 Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, no more can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit, for without me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and is withered; and men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you shall be my disciples.
- Acts 4:11 : 11 This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.

- Matt 20:1-9 : 1 For the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is a householder, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. 2 And when he had agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 And said to them, Go also into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you. So they went. 5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and said to them, Why do you stand here all day idle? 7 They said to him, Because no man has hired us. He said to them, Go also into the vineyard; and whatever is right, that you shall receive. 8 So when evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, Call the laborers, and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first. 9 And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a penny. 10 But when the first came, they supposed they would receive more; and they likewise each received a penny. 11 And when they had received it, they grumbled against the master of the house, 12 Saying, These last have worked but one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden and heat of the day. 13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do you no wrong: did you not agree with me for a penny? 14 Take what is yours, and go your way: I will give to this last, even as to you.
- Matt 21:23-44 : 23 And when he came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching and said, By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority? 24 And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things. 25 The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven, or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, From heaven, he will say to us, Why then did you not believe him? 26 But if we say, From men; we fear the people, for all hold John as a prophet. 27 And they answered Jesus and said, We do not know. And he said to them, Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things. 28 But what do you think? A certain man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. 29 He answered and said, I will not; but afterward he repented and went. 30 And he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir; but he did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, that tax collectors and harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but the tax collectors and harlots believed him, and when you had seen it, you did not afterward repent and believe him. 33 Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and hedged it around, dug a winepress in it, built a tower, and leased it to vine dressers, and went into a far country. 34 And when the time of fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the vine dressers, that they might receive the fruits of it. 35 And the vine dressers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another. 36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first, and they did likewise to them. 37 But last of all, he sent his son to them, saying, They will respect my son. 38 But when the vine dressers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance. 39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. 40 When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine dressers? 41 They said to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will lease his vineyard to other vine dressers who will render him the fruits in their seasons. 42 Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes? 43 Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation producing its fruits. 44 And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.
- Isa 61:5 : 5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
- 3 John 1:8 : 8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellow helpers of the truth.
