I the LORD have spoken it. 16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread: 17 So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave you; and pestilence and blood shall pass through you; and I will bring the sword upon you. I the LORD have spoken it.

• Hos 3:1-5 : 1 Then the LORD said to me, Go again, love a woman loved by her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who turn to other gods and love raisin cakes. 2 So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver, and a homer of barley, and a half homer of barley. 3 And I said to her, You shall stay for me many days; you shall not play the prostitute, and you shall not be for another man: so will I also be for you. 4 For the children of Israel shall remain many days without a king, without a prince, without a sacrifice, without a pillar, without an ephod, and without household gods. 5 Afterward, the children of Israel shall return, and seek the LORD their God and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the last days.
• Hos 12:10 : 10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used parables, by the ministry of the prophets.
• Amos 3:2 : 2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
