    4ስለዚ ዳዊት ሰባት ምርመራ ሰደደ፣ ሳውል ብእዋን መጺኡ እንዳ ተረዲኡ።

    5ዳዊት ተነስኦ ናብ ሳውል ዝተሰፈረሉ ቦታ መጻእ፤ ዳዊት እቲ ሳውል ዝሰየረሉ ቦታ ኣየ ነበረ፣ ኣብነር ወዲ ነር መሪ ሠራዊቱ እዩ ነበረ። ሳውል ኣብ መካከል ሰፈር ሰይር ነበረ፣ ሕዝቡ ድማ ኣብ ዙሪያው ተሰፍሮም ነበሩ።

    6እዚ ዳዊት ንኣሒሜሌክ ሄጣዊን ንኣቢሻይ ወዲ ዘሩያ ሓወይ ዮዓብን ኣለ፡ «መን ምስደይ ናብ ሰፈር ሳውል ይውርድ?» ኣቢሻይ ኣመለሰ፡ «ምስኻ እወርድ።»

    10ዳዊት እንዲ በለ፦ ‘እግዚኣብሔር ኣምላኽ እስራኤል፣ ኣገልጋይካ ብትክክል ሰሚዖ ኣሎ ሳኦል ናብ ቄይላ ክመጽእ ከተማ ብክንደይ ምኽንያት ክድምስ እዩ እንዳ.’

    12ዳዊት እንዲ በለ፦ ‘ሰባት ቄይላ እኔን ሰባትይን ኣብ እጅ ሳኦል ክሰጡና ይግባእ?’ እግዚኣብሔር መለሰ፦ ‘እዮም ክሰጡካ.’

    13እዚ ዳዊትን ዝስዕብ ስድስተ ሚእቲ ዝነበሩ ሰባትኡን ተነስኡ ካብ ቄይላ ወጹ፣ ዝኽእሉ ቦታ ክኸዱ ከይዱ። ዳዊት ካብ ቄይላ ፈሪሑ እዩ እንዳ ሳኦል ተነግሮ ነበረ፤ ንምውራድ ድማ ተውዎ.

    14ዳዊት ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ኣብ መትረፊ መደብታት ተነበረ፣ ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ዚፍ ኣብ ተራራ ተቆይሮ ነበረ። ሳኦል መዓልቲ ኩሉ ይፈልጥዎ ነበረ፣ ግን እግዚኣብሔር ኣብ እጁ ኣይሃበዎን.

    15ዳዊት ሳኦል ነፍሲኡ ክወስድ ንምፍላጥ ወጻእ እዩ እንዳ ረአየ፤ ዳዊት ደኣ ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ዚፍ ኣብ ዱር ነበረ።

    16ዮናታን ወዲ ሳኦል ተነስአ ኣብ ዱር ናብ ዳዊት መጻእ፣ ኣብ እግዚኣብሔር እጁ ኣበረታዎ።

    24እነሆም ተነሱ ናብ ዚፍ ቅድመ ሳኦል ከይዱ፤ ግን ዳዊትን ሰባትኡን ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ማዖን ነበሩ፣ ኣብ ሜዳ ደቡብ የሺሞን።

    25ሳኦልን ሰባትኡን ክድለዎ ከይዱ። ዳዊት ነገሩዎ፤ ስለዚ ናብ ጐድን ድንጋይ ከይዶ ወረደ፣ ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ማዖን ተቆይሮ ነበረ። ሳኦል እዚ እንተ ሰሚዖ ንዳዊት ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ማዖን ተኸተለዎ።

    26ሳኦል ኣብ እዚ ጎን ደብሪ ይሄድ ነበረ፣ ዳዊትን ሰባትኡን ድማ ኣብ ሓካል ጎን ደብሪ። ዳዊት ብፍርሒ ሳኦል ፈጣን ሽሓቕ ነበረ፤ ምክንያት ሳኦልን ሰባትኡን ንዳዊትን ሰባትኡን ኣብ ዙሪያ ክዕዝኡኦም ተኣካቱ።
