ዳዊት ናብ ቄይላ መጺኡ ሳኦል ተነግሮ ነበረ። ሳኦል እንዲ በለ፦ ‘እግዚኣብሔር ኣብ እጄ ሰጠዎ እዩ፤ መበሊታትን መዝጊያታትን ዘለዋ ከተማ ውሽጢ ብምእታው ተዘግበ ኣሎ እሱ.’

    11‘ሰባት ቄይላ ኣብ እጁ ክሰጡኒ ይግባእ? እንተ ኣገልጋይካ ሰሚዖ እንዳ ሳኦል ክወርድ ይግባእ? እግዚኣብሔር ኣምላኽ እስራኤል፣ ተለሊ ንኣገልጋይካ በለዎ।’ እግዚኣብሔር መለሰ፦ ‘ክወርድ ይግባእ.’

    12ዳዊት እንዲ በለ፦ ‘ሰባት ቄይላ እኔን ሰባትይን ኣብ እጅ ሳኦል ክሰጡና ይግባእ?’ እግዚኣብሔር መለሰ፦ ‘እዮም ክሰጡካ.’

    13እዚ ዳዊትን ዝስዕብ ስድስተ ሚእቲ ዝነበሩ ሰባትኡን ተነስኡ ካብ ቄይላ ወጹ፣ ዝኽእሉ ቦታ ክኸዱ ከይዱ። ዳዊት ካብ ቄይላ ፈሪሑ እዩ እንዳ ሳኦል ተነግሮ ነበረ፤ ንምውራድ ድማ ተውዎ.

    14ዳዊት ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ኣብ መትረፊ መደብታት ተነበረ፣ ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ዚፍ ኣብ ተራራ ተቆይሮ ነበረ። ሳኦል መዓልቲ ኩሉ ይፈልጥዎ ነበረ፣ ግን እግዚኣብሔር ኣብ እጁ ኣይሃበዎን.

    15ዳዊት ሳኦል ነፍሲኡ ክወስድ ንምፍላጥ ወጻእ እዩ እንዳ ረአየ፤ ዳዊት ደኣ ኣብ ምድረ-በዳ ዚፍ ኣብ ዱር ነበረ።

    16ዮናታን ወዲ ሳኦል ተነስአ ኣብ ዱር ናብ ዳዊት መጻእ፣ ኣብ እግዚኣብሔር እጁ ኣበረታዎ።

    1ከዚ ዳዊት ነገሩዎ እንዲ ብሉ፦ ‘እዩ ፍልስጥኤማን ንቄይላ ይዋጉ እዮም፣ መድረኽታት መፈልፂ ዕር ይባርዱ እዮም.’

    3እንዲ ሰባት ዳዊት ንሱ በሉ፦ ‘እዩ ኣብዚ ኣብ ይሁዳ ንፈርስ ኢና፤ ንእሽቶ እንተ ናብ ቄይላ ንመጽእ ላዕለ ሰራዊት ፍልስጥኤማን እንደ ምን ይብዛ ክንፈርስ?’

    4እዚ ዳዊት እግዚኣብሔር እንደ ገና ሓተተ። እግዚኣብሔር መለሰዎ እንዲ ኣለዎ፦ ‘ተነስእ፣ ናብ ቄይላ ንሕብ፤ እኔ ፍልስጥኤማን ኣብ እጅኻ ክሃብ እየ.’

    5እንተዛ ዳዊትን ሰባትኡን ናብ ቄይላ ከይዱ፣ ንፍልስጥኤማን ተዋጊዮም፣ ከብታቶም ኣካተሉ ኣመጹ፣ ብከቢድ መቅሰፍቲ ነቐሱኦም። እንተዛ ዳዊት ናይ ቄይላ ሕዝብ ኣንጽሕዎ ኣድሉዎም.

    6ኣብያታር ወዲ ኣሂሜለክ ናብ ዳዊት ናብ ቄይላ እንተ ሸፈነ፣ ኤፎድ ኣብ እጁ ይዞ ወረደ እዩ ዝከኣለ።

    27ነገር ግን መልእኽተኛ ናብ ሳኦል መጻእ እንዲ በሎ፦ ‘ታን ፈጣን ናፈቅ፤ ፍልስጥኤማን ሃገር ወስዱ እዮም.’
