ዮዓብ ኣለዎ፣ «ኣብዚ ከመዚ ምትዕጽል ኣይክእልን» ብሎ ሶስተ ኣጥር መወዳእታት በእጁ ኣንብሮ ኣብ መካከል ዛጋ እዩ ዝነበረ ኣብሴሎም ልቡ ላዕለዉ ገብሮ ቀተሎ።

    17ኣብሴሎም ወስደው ኣብ ደኑ ጉድጓድ ዓቢ ወርዶ ደፊኡ፣ ላዕለዉ ግና ርብሓ ዓቢ ድንጋይ ኣዘጉ። እስራኤላውያን ኩሉ እያ ወዲ ወዲ ናብ ድራቶም ፈሪሑ መለሱ።

    18ኣብሴሎም ግን ኣብ ሕይወቱ ዝነበረ ጊዜ ስለ ራሱ ኣምድ ኣዘረገ ኣቀመጠ፣ ዘሎ እዩ ኣብ ሸለቆ ንጉስ። እቲ ዝበለ ነገር፣ «ስሜ ክይትውስኽ ወዲ የለኒ» እዩ ነበር፤ ስለዚ ስሙ እቲ ኣምድ ኣጠርዩ ነበር፣ እስከ ሎም ድማ «ቦታ ኣብሴሎም» ይብል ይጠራ።

    19ኣሂማዝ ወዲ ሳዶቅ ኣለ፣ «ሕጂ ክሮጽ እፈልጥ ንንጉስ ብምእታው እግዚኣብሔር ካብ ጠላፍታቱ ዝበውሕዎ ዜና እንድርስሎ» ብሎ።

    10ሓደ ሰብ እዚ ርእዮ ንዮዓብ ነገረዮ፣ «ኣብሴሎም ኣብ ዛጋ ተሰነሰነ ርእየየዶ» ብሎ።

    11ዮዓብ ንተነግሮ ሰብ ኣለዎ፣ «እኮ ርእይካዮ እንተ ኮይንካ፣ ስለ ምንታይ ኣብዚ ኣይተቐተልካዮ ክሳብ መሬት ክትወርድዮ? እኔ ሓደሽ ዓሰርተ ሸቅል ብሰሊጥን ኣንፈይን ክህብካ ነበረ ኣሎ።»

    12እሱ ግን ንዮዓብ መለሰ፣ «እንኳ ሺሕ ሸቅል ብሰሊጥ ብእጄ እንተሰገነ፣ እጄ ኣብ ወዲ ንጉስ ኣታ ኣይሰግንም። እኛ እንተሰምዶ ኣለና ንስኻን ኣቢሳይን ኢታይን ንጉሱ ዝነገረኩም ትእዛዝ፣ ‘ወዲ እቲ ኣብሴሎም ማንኛይ ኣይትነኩዉ’ ብሎ።»

    13ካልእ እንታይ ነበረ እኔ ብዘይሓቂ ስራሕ ናተይ ሕይወት ላዕለ ክጽርሕ ነበር፤ ከምዚ ንጉስ ካብዝሓለፈ ጉዳይ የለን፣ ንኣነ ራስኻ ብናተይ ትነሱ ነበርካ።
