11ንጉሡም ለሐማን እንዲህ አለው፦ “ብሩ ለአንተ ተሰጥቶአል፤ ሕዝቡም እንዲሁ፤ እንደ ሚመስልህ መልኩ አድርግባቸው።”
12ከዚያም በመጀመሪያው ወር በዐሥራ ሦስተኛው ቀን የንጉሥ ጸሐፊዎች ተጠሩ፤ ሐማን እንዳዘዘ ሁሉ ለንጉሡ አለቆችና ለእያንዳንዱ አውራጃ ገዥዎች ለእያንዳንዱም ሕዝብ አለቆች በእያንዳንዱ አውራጃ ጽሁፍ መሰረትና ለእያንዳንዱ ሕዝብ ቋንቋቸውን በመከተል ተጻፈ፤ በንጉሥ አሂስወሮስ ስም ተጻፈ በንጉሡም ቀለበት ተሰነዘረ።
13ደብዳቤዎቹም በመልእክተኞች በንጉሡ አውራጃዎች ሁሉ ተላኩ፤ በአንድ ቀን፣ እርሱም የአሥራ ሁለተኛው ወር አዳር በዐሥራ ሦስተኛው ቀን ነው፣ አይሁዳውያንን ሁሉ፣ ጎልማሶችንና ሽማግሌዎችን፣ ሕፃናትንና ሴቶችን ሙሉ በሙሉ ለማጥፋት፣ ለመግደል እና እንዲጠፉ ማድረግ፣ ምርኮአቸውንም ለማንሳት እንዲሆን።
14የዚህ ጽሁፍ ቅጂ እንደ ትእዛዝ በእያንዳንዱ አውራጃ እንዲሰጥ ለሕዝብ ሁሉ ታወገ፤ በዚያ ቀን ዝግጁ እንዲሆኑ።
15መልእክተኞቹም በንጉሡ ትእዛዝ ፈጥነው ወጡ፤ ውሳኔውም በሱሳ ቤተ መንግስት ተሰጠ። ንጉሡና ሐማን ተቀምጠው ጠጡ፤ ነገር ግን የሱሳ ከተማ ተደነገጠች።
7ከዚያ ንጉሡ አህሴሮስ ለንግሥት እስቴርና ለአይሁዳዊው ሞርድካይ እንዲህ አለ፦ እነሆ፣ የአማንን ቤት ለእስቴር ሰጥቻለሁ፤ እርሱንም ስለ አይሁዳውያን እጁን ከፍ አድርጎ ስለ ተነሣ በአምድ ላይ አስቀሉት።
8ስለዚህ ለአይሁዳውያን ደግሞ እንደ ወደዳችሁ በንጉሡ ስም ጽፉ፤ በንጉሡ ቀለበትም ማኅተም አድርጉት፤ ምክንያቱም በንጉሡ ስም የተጻፈና በንጉሡ ቀለበት የተማከረ ጽሁፍ ማንም ሊመለስ የለመደም።
10በንጉሡ አህሴሮስ ስም ጻፈ፤ በንጉሡ ቀለበት ማኅተም አድርጎ ደብዳቤዎችን በፈረሶች፣ በአሶ በሬዎች፣ በግመሎችና በወጣት ድሮመዳሪዎች ላይ የሚቀመጡ መልእክተኞች በኩል ላከ።
11በእነዚያ ደብዳቤዎች ውስጥ ንጉሡ በእያንዳንዱ ከተማ ያሉ አይሁዳውያን እንዲሰበሰቡ፣ ለሕይወታቸው ለመከላከል እንዲቆሙ፣ በእነርሱ ላይ የሚጥሉአቸውን የሕዝብና የአውራጃ ሁሉንም ኀይሎች ሕፃናትና ሴቶች ጨምሮ ለማጥፋት፣ ለመግደልና ለማሳበዝ፣ ሐብሳቸውንም እንዲወስዱ ፍቃድ ሰጠ።
12ይህም በንጉሡ አህሴሮስ አውራጃዎች ሁሉ በአንድ ቀን፣ በአስራ ሦስተኛው ቀን የአስራ ሁለተኛው ወር፣ የአዳር ወር ላይ እንዲሆን ተደረገ።
13እንደ ትእዛዝ የጽሁፉ ቅጂ በእያንዳንዱ አውራጃ ለሕዝብ ሁሉ ተለጠፈ፤ አይሁዳውያንም በዚያ ቀን በጠላቶቻቸው ላይ ራሳቸውን እንዲበቀሉ ዝግጁ እንዲሆኑ ተነገረ።
14እንግዲህ በአሶ በሬዎችና በግመሎች ላይ የሚቀመጡ መልእክተኞች በንጉሡ ትእዛዝ ተጋድለው ተደንግጠው ወጡ፤ ውሳኔውም በሱሳን ቤተ መንግሥት ተሰጠ።
15ሞርድካይም ከንጉሡ ፊት በሰማያዊና በነጭ የመንግሥት ልብስ የተለበሰ፣ ትልቅ የወርቅ አክሊል የጭነበረና ከጥሩ ሐርና ሐምራዊ ልብስ የተጌጠ ሆኖ ወጣ፤ የሱሳን ከተማም ሐሤት አደረገችና ደስ አላት።
18ነገር ግን በሱሳን ያሉ አይሁዶች በአዳር ወር በአሥራ ሦስተኛውና በአሥራ አራተኛው ቀን ተሰብስበው፤ በአሥራ ሐምሰተኛው ቀን ግን ዐረፉ፥ ያንንም ቀን የግብዣና ደስታ ቀን አደረጉት።
19ስለዚህ በማይታጠቁ ከተሞች የሚኖሩ የመንደር አይሁዶች የአዳር ወር አሥራ አራተኛውን ቀን የደስታና የግብዣ፣ መልካም ቀን አድርገው እርስ በእርሳቸው ክፍሎች የመላክ ቀን አደረጉ።
20ማርዶክዮስም እነዚህን ነገሮች ጽፎ ቅርብና ሩቅ ለሆኑ በንጉሥ አሐስወሮስ አውራጃዎች ሁሉ ላሉ አይሁዶች መልእክት ላከ።
21ይህ በእነርሱ መካከል እንዲጸና፣ ዓመት ዓመት የአዳር ወር አሥራ አራተኛውንና አሥራ ሐምሰተኛውን ቀን እንዲጠብቁ አዘዘ።
22እነዚያ ዕለቶች አይሁዶች ከጠላቶቻቸው ዕረፍት ያገኙባቸው፣ ወሩም ለእነርሱ ከሐዘን ወደ ደስታ፣ ከዋይታ ወደ መልካም ቀን የተለወጠ ስለ ሆነ፣ እነዚያን ዕለቶች የግብዣና የደስታ ቀኖች እንዲያደርጉ፣ እርስ በእርስ ክፍሎች እንዲላኩ እና ለድሆች ስጦታዎች እንዲሰጡ አድርጎ አስቀመጠ።
23አይሁዶችም እንደ ጀመሩት እና እንደ ማርዶክዮስ ጻፈላቸው ማድረግ ተቀበሉ።
29ከዚያም ንግሥቲቱ እስቴር የአቢሄል ልጅ እና አይሁዳዊው ማርዶክዮስ ይህን ሁለተኛውን የፑሪም ደብዳቤ ለማረጋገጥ በሙሉ ሥልጣን ጻፉ።
30እርሱም ደብዳቤዎቹን በንጉሥ አሐስወሮስ መንግሥት ባሉ መቶ ሃያ እና ሰባት አውራጃዎች ላሉ አይሁዶች ሁሉ በሰላምና በእውነት ቃል ላከ።
31እነዚህ የፑሪም ቀናት በተወሰኑ ዘመናቸው እንዲጸኑ፣ እንደ አይሁዳዊው ማርዶክዮስና ንግሥቲቱ እስቴር እንዳዘዙአቸው፣ እንዲሁም ለራሳቸውና ለዘሮቻቸው ስለ ጾሞቻቸውና ስለ ጩኸታቸው እንደ ድንጋጌ ያስቀመጡት መሠረት ላይ።
32የእስቴርም ድንጋጌ እነዚህን የፑሪም ነገሮች አጸደቀ፥ በመጽሐፍም ተጻፈ።
1አሁን በአሥራ ሁለተኛው ወር፣ የሚባለው በአዳር ወር፣ በዚያው ወር በአሥራ ሦስተኛው ቀን፣ የንጉሡ ትእዛዝና ድንጋጌው ለመፈጸም በመቅረብ ላይ ነበሩ፤ ይህም የአይሁዶች ጠላቶች በእነርሱ ላይ ሥልጣን እንዲኖራቸው ተስፋ ያደረጉበት ቀን ነበር፤ (ነገር ግን ተቃራኒው ሆኖ ተለወጠ፤ አይሁዶች የሚጠሏቸውን ተቆጣጠሩ።)
2አይሁዶች በንጉሥ አሐስወሮስ አውራጃዎች ሁሉ ባሉ ከተሞቻቸው ተሰብስበው ላቸው ክፉ ለማድረግ የፈለጉባቸውን ላይ እጃቸውን ለማዘረጋት ወጡ፤ ማንም መቋቋማቸው አልቻለም፤ ምክንያቱም ፍርሃታቸው በሕዝቡ ሁሉ ላይ ወድቆ ነበር።
3የአውራጃዎች አለቆችና መኰንኖች፣ ተኮንኖችና የንጉሥ ሥራ አስኪያጆች አይሁዶችን ረዱ፤ ምክንያቱም የማርዶክዮስ ፍርሃት በላያቸው ወድቆ ነበር።
1በአሐስወሮስ ዘመን የሆነው ይህ ነው፤ (ከህንድ ጀምሮ እስከ ኢትዮጵያ ድረስ በአንድ መቶ ሰባትና ሃያ ሰባት አውራጃዎች ላይ የነገሠ አሐስወሮስ ይህ ነው።)
2በእነዚያ ዘመናት ንጉሡ አሐስወሮስ በመንግሥቱ ዙፋን ላይ ተቀምጦ ሳለ፣ ቤተመንግሥቱ በሱሳ ነበር።
3መንግሥቱ በሦስተኛው ዓመት ለመኳንንቱና ለአገልጋዮቹ ሁሉ በአል አደረገ፤ የፋርስና የሜዶን ኃይል፣ የአውራጃዎቹ መኳንንትና አለቆች ሁሉ በፊቱ ነበሩ።
21ይህ ነገር ለንጉሡና ለመኳንንቱ ደስ አላቸው፤ ንጉሡም እንደ መሙቃን ቃል አደረገ።
22ሰው እያንዳንዱ በቤቱ ላይ ሥልጣን እንዲይዝ እና ይህም በእያንዳንዱ ሕዝብ ቋንቋ እንዲታወቅ ወደ ንጉሡ አውራጃዎች ሁሉ ለእያንዳንዱ አውራጃ እንደ ጽሁፋቸው እና ለእያንዳንዱ ሕዝብ እንደ ቋንቋቸው ደብዳቤዎችን ላከ።
5እናት እንዲህ አለች፦ ንጉሡን ቢያስደስት፣ በፊቱ ሞገስ ካገኘሁ፣ ይህ ነገር በንጉሡ ፊት ትክክል ቢታይና በዓይኑ ቢያምር፣ አጋጋዊው ሐመዳታ ልጅ አማን ለንጉሡ ግዛቶች ሁሉ ባሉ አይሁዳውያን ላይ ለማጥፋት ያዘጋጀውን ደብዳቤ እንዲተመለስ ይደርስ ተብሎ እንዲጻፍ።
6ሞርድካይን ብቻ ለመያዝ ዝቅተኛ ነገር መስሎት ቆጠረ፤ የሞርድካይን ሕዝብ አሳዩት ነበርና። ስለዚህ ሐማን በአሂስወሮስ መንግሥት ሁሉ ያሉ አይሁዳውያንን፣ የሞርድካይን ሕዝብን ሙሉ በሙሉ ለማጥፋት ፈለገ።
7በመጀመሪያው ወር፣ እርሱም ኒሳን የሚባል ወር ነው፣ በንጉሥ አሂስወሮስ አሥራ ሁለተኛ ዓመት፣ ፑር የሚባለውን ዕጣ ፊቱ ፊት ለሐማን ከቀን ወደ ቀን፣ ከወር ወደ ወር ጣሉ፤ እስከ አሥራ ሁለተኛው ወር የሚባለው አዳር ድረስ።
8ሐማንም ለንጉሥ አሂስወሮስ እንዲህ አለው፦ “በመንግሥትህ አውራጃዎች ሁሉ መካከል ተበትነው በሕዝብ መካከል የተበተኑ አንድ ሕዝብ አለ፤ ሕጋቸውም ከሕዝቦች ሁሉ የተለየ ነው፤ የንጉሥንም ሕጎች አያከብሩም። ስለዚህ እነርሱን እንዲተዉ ለንጉሥ አይጠቅም።”
9“ንጉሡ ቢወድድ እነርሱ እንዲደመሰሱ ይጻፍ፤ እኔም ይህን ሥራ የሚያከናውኑትን ሰዎች በእጃቸው ለንጉሡ መዝገብ ገንዘብ እንዲያመጡ አስር ሺህ ታላንት ብር እከፍላለሁ።”
1በዚያ ቀን ንጉሡ አህሴሮስ የአይሁዳውያን ጠላት የአማንን ቤት ለንግሥት እስቴር ሰጠ። እስቴርም እርሱ ለእርሷ ማን መሆኑን ስትናገር ሞርድካይ በንጉሡ ፊት ገባ።
2ንጉሡም ከአማን የወሰደውን ቀለበት አውልቆ ለሞርድካይ ሰጠው፤ እስቴርም ሞርድካይን በአማን ቤት ላይ አሾመች።
26ስለዚህ እነዚያን ቀኖች ከፑር ስም የተነሣ ፑሪም ብለው ጠሩአቸው፤ ስለዚህም የዚች መልእክት ንግግር ሁሉና ስለዚህ ነገር ያዩትን እና ወደ እነርሱ የመጣውን ሁሉ በመሠረት።
27አይሁዶችም ይህን ሕግ ለራሳቸውና ለዘሮቻቸው እንዲሁም ከእነርሱ ጋር ለተቀላቀሉ ሁሉ ላይ ግዴታ አድርገው አስቀመጡት፤ እንዳይቋረጥም እነዚያን ሁለት ቀናት እንደ ጽሑፋቸው እና በተወሰኑ ጊዜያቸው ዓመት ዓመት እንዲጠብቁ ተስማሙ።
17ንጉሡ ትእዛዙና ውሳኔው ወደ ደረሱ በእያንዳንዱ አውራጃና በእያንዳንዱ ከተማ ሁሉ ላይ አይሁዳውያን ደስታና ሐሤት ነበራቸው፤ በዓልና መልካም ቀን አደረጉ። የአገሩም ሕዝብ ብዙዎች የአይሁድ ሃይማኖት ተቀብለው አይሁዳውያን ሆኑ፤ ምክንያቱም የአይሁድ ፍርሃት በላያቸው ወድቆ ነበር።
8እንዲሁም እነርሱን ለማጥፋት በሱሳን የተሰጠውን የውሳኔው ጽሁፍ ቅጂ ሰጠው ለእስጢር እንዲያሳይላት፣ እንዲገልጥላትም፣ እንዲሁም ስለ ሕዝቧ በፊቱ እንዲለምንና ጥያቄ እንዲያቀርብ ወደ ንጉሡ እንድትገባ እንዲያዝዛት አዘዘው።
2የኃይሉና የጽናቱ ተግባሮቹ ሁሉ፣ እንዲሁም ንጉሡ ከፍ ከፍ አድርጎ ያደረገው የሞርድካይ ታላቅነት መግለጫ—እነዚህ ሁሉ በሜድያና ፐርስያ ነገሥታት የታሪክ መዝገብ መጽሐፍ አልተጻፉምን?
36እንዲሁም የንጉሡን ትእዛዞች ለንጉሡ ገዥዎችና ከወንዙ ማዶ ላሉ አለቆች አቀረቡ፤ እነርሱም ሕዝቡንና የእግዚአብሔርን ቤት ደገፉ።
3የንጉሡ ትእዛዝና ውሳኔ የደረሰባቸው አውራጃዎች ሁሉ ውስጥ ታላቅ ሐዘን በአይሁድ መካከል ነበረ፤ ጾምና እንባና ዋይታ ነበረ፤ ብዙዎቹም በከርብ ልብስና በአመድ ላይ ተኝተው ነበር።
10ሰባተኛው ቀን ንጉሡ በወይን ልቡ ተደስቶ ሳለ በአሐስወሮስ ንጉሥ ፊት የሚያገለግሉ ሰባቱ እኑክ አገልጋዮችን—ሜሁማን፣ ቢዝታ፣ ሐርቦና፣ ቢግታ፣ አባግታ፣ ዘታር እና ካርካስ—አዘዘ።
6እንዲሁም በአህሴሮስ መንግሥት መጀመሪያ ዘመን ስለ ይሁዳና ኢየሩሳሌም ሕዝብ ክስ ጻፉአት ላኩለት።
2ከንጉሡ ግቢ ሰራተኞች የበር ጠባቂዎች ከሆኑት ሁለቱ ቢግታናና ቴሬሽ በንጉሡ አህሴሮስ ላይ እጅ ለመጭነት የፈለጉ መሆናቸውን ሞርድካይ እንዳገለጠ ተጽፎ ተገኘ።
21እኔ እንኳ እኔ አርጣክሴርክስ ንጉሥ ከወንዙ ማዶ ለሚገኙ ለመዝገብ አለቆች ሁሉ ሕግ እወጣለሁ፤ የሰማይ አምላክ ሕግ ጸሐፊ የሆነው ካህኑ ኤዝራ ከእናንተ የሚጠይቀው ሁሉ ወዲያውኑ ይደረግለት።
