  • ዘጸ 17:9-9 : 9 ሙሴም ለኢያሱ አለው፦ «ለእኛ ሰዎችን መርጥ ወጥተህ ከአማሌቅ ጋር ተዋጋ፤ ነገ እኔ የእግዚአብሔር በትር በእጄ ሆኖ በኰረብታው ጫፍ እቆማለሁ»። 10 ኢያሱም ሙሴ እንዳለው አደረገና ከአማሌቅ ጋር ተዋጋ፤ ሙሴም ከአሮንና ከሆር ጋር በኰረብታው ጫፍ ወጡ። 11 ሙሴ እጁን ሲያንሳ እስራኤል ይሸነፍ ነበር፤ እጁን ሲያሳር ግን አማሌቅ ይሸነፍ ነበር። 12 ነገር ግን የሙሴ እጆች ከባድ ሆኑ፤ ድንጋይ አመጡ ከታችው አኖሩለት እርሱም ተቀመጠበት፤ አሮንና ሆርም እጆቹን አንዱ ከዚህ ወገን ሌላው ከዚያ ወገን ይዘው ደገፉለት፤ እጆቹም ፀሐይ እስኪወርድ ድረስ ጸና ቆሙ።
