    33እንዲህ ሲሆን በኋላ ከፊትህ ሲመጣ ስለ ደመወዜ ጸድቄ ይመስክርልኝ፤ በፍየሎች መካከል ያልተመነጨና ያልተነጠቀ ወይም በበጎች መካከል ያልቡናማ የሆነ ሁሉ ከእኔ ዘንድ የተሰረቀ ተቆጥሮ ይሆናል።

    34ላባንም እንዲህ አለ፣ እነሆ፣ እንደ ቃልህ ይሁን።

    35በዚያች ቀን ግን የመስመር ስብስብ ያላቸውንና የተነጠቁትን ወንዶች ፍየሎች ሁሉ እንዲሁም የተመነጨና የተነጠቁትን ሴቶች ፍየሎች ሁሉ እንዲሁም በውስጧ ነጭ ያለባቸውን ሁሉ እና በበጎች መካከል ያሉ ቡናማዎችን ሁሉ አስወግዶ ለወንዶቹ ልጆቹ አሳልፎ ሰጠ።

    36ከእርሱና ከያዕቆብ መካከል ሦስት ቀን መንገድ ርቀት አደረገ፤ ያዕቆብም የላባንን የቀሩትን መንጋዎች ሰማ።

    37ያዕቆብም አረንጓዴ የሊብና በትሮችን እንዲሁም የለውዝና የአርሞን ዛፍ በትሮች ወስዶ በእነርሱ ላይ ነጭ መስመሮች አጥልቶ ያሉትን ነጭ እንዲታይ አደረገ።

    38እነዚያ የተጠሉ በትሮችን መንጋዎቹ ሲመጡ ውሃ ለመጠጣት በውሃ ማጠጫዎች ጉድጓዶች ውስጥ በመንጋዎቹ ፊት አደረጋቸው፤ እነርሱም ሲመጡ ለመጠጣት እንዲሽከረክሩ አደረገ።

    39መንጋዎቹም በትሮቹ ፊት ሲሽከረክሩ የመስመር ስብስብ ያላቸውና የተመነጨና የተነጠቁ እንስሳ ልጆች ወለዱ።

    40ያዕቆብም ጠቦቶቹን ለየ መንጋዎቹንም ፊት ወደ የመስመር ስብስብ ያላቸው እንስሳት እንዲመለከቱ አደረገ፤ እንዲሁም በላባን መንጋ ውስጥ ያሉ ቡናማዎችን ሁሉ ለየ። ራሱም መንጋውን በብቻው አቆመ ከላባን እንስሳት ጋር አልቀላቀለውም።
