በዚያን ጊዜ እንዲህ ብላቸው ትመልሳላችሁ፦ የዮርዳኖስ ውኃዎች በጌታ የኪዳኑ ታቦት ፊት ተቆረጡ፤ ታቦቱ ዮርዳኖስን ሲሻገር የዮርዳኖስ ውኃዎች ተቆረጡ። እነዚህ ድንጋዮችም ለእስራኤል ልጆች ለዘላለም የመታሰቢያ ይሆናሉ።

    20ከዮርዳኖስ ያወጧቸውን እነዚያን አሥራ ሁለት ድንጋዮች ዮሴዋ በጊልጋል አቆመ።

    21እስራኤል ልጆችንም እንዲህ አላቸው፦ በወደፊት ዘመን ልጆቻችሁ “እነዚህ ድንጋዮች ምን ማለት ናቸው?” ብለው ሲጠይቁ፣

    22ከዚያም “እስራኤል ይህን ዮርዳኖስ በደረቅ ምድር ላይ ተሻግሯል” ብላችሁ ለልጆቻችሁ አሳውቁአቸው።

    23ምክንያቱም እግዚአብሔር አምላካችሁ እስክትሻገሩ ድረስ የዮርዳኖስን ውኃዎች ከፊታችሁ አደረቀ፤ እንዲሁም እግዚአብሔር አምላካችሁ ለእኛ በቀይ ባሕር እንዳደረገው፣ እስክንሻገር ድረስ ከፊታችን አደረቀው።

    24ይህም የምድር ሕዝቦች ሁሉ የጌታን እጅ ኃያል እንደሆነ እንዲያውቁ፣ እና እናንተም ለዘላለም እግዚአብሔርን አምላካችሁን እንድትፈሩ ነው።
