    12ሳምሶንም እንዲህ አላቸው፦ አሁን አንድ ምሥጢር እሰጣችኋለሁ፤ በግብዣው የሰባት ቀናት ውስጥ ቢነግሩኝ እና ቢፈቱት ሠላሳ ልብሶችና ሠላሳ የልብስ ለውጦች እሰጣችኋለሁ።

    13ነገር ግን ካላበራችሁ እና ካልነገራችሁኝ እናንተ ለእኔ ሠላሳ ልብሶችና ሠላሳ የልብስ ለውጦች ታሰጡኛላችሁ። እነርሱም እንዲህ አሉት፦ ምሥጢርህን አቅርብ እናሰማው።

    14እንዲህም አላቸው፦ ከሚበላ ወጥ ወጣ፥ ከብርቱውም ጣፋጭ ወጣ። እነርሱም ሦስት ቀናት ሙሉ ምሥጢሩን ማብራራት አልቻሉም።

    15ሰባተኛው ቀን ግን ሳምሶን ሚስትን እንዲህ አሉአት፦ ባልሽን አሳትሺው ምሥጢሩን እንዲነግረን፤ አይደለም ከሆነ አንቺንና የአባትሽን ቤት በእሳት እናቃጥላችኋለን። ያለንን እንድንጥፋ ጠራችኋልን? አይደለም እንጂ?

    19የእግዚአብሔር መንፈስ መጣበት፤ ወደ አስቀሎን ወረደ፥ ከእነርሱም ሠላሳ ሰዎችን ገደለ፥ ንብረታቸውን ነጠቀ፥ ምሥጢሩን ያበራሉትንም ለእነርሱ የልብስ ለውጦችን ሰጣቸው። ቍጡም ነደደበት፥ ወደ አባቱም ቤት ወጣ።

    20ሳምሶን ሚስት ግን እርሱ ወዳጅ አድርጎ ለነበረው ጓደኛው ተሰጠች።

    8እንግዲህ የፍልስጥናውያን አለቆች ማይደረቁ ሰባት አዲስ ገመዶች አመጡላት፤ እርሷም በእነርሱ አሳረደችው.

    9በክፍሏ ውስጥ ተሰውሮ የሚጠብቁ ሰዎች ነበሩ። እርሷም አለችው፣ ሳምሶን ሆይ፣ ፍልስጥናውያን በላይህ ላይ ናቸው! እርሱም ገመዶቹን እንደ እሳት ሲነካ የሚበር ክር ብሎ ሰበረአቸው፤ ስለዚህ ኃይሉ አልታወቀም.

    10ደሊላም ለሳምሶን አለች፣ እነሆ አሳታፍኸኝ እና ሐሰት ነገርኸኝ፤ አሁን በምን እንደምታሰር ንገረኝ.

    11እርሱም አላት፣ ከዚህ በፊት ያልተጠቀሙባቸው አዲስ ገመዶች ጠንክሮ ብታስርኝ እንጂ እደክማለሁ እና እንደ ሌላ ሰው እሆናለሁ.

    12ደሊላም አዲስ ገመዶች አወሰደችና በእነርሱ አሳረደችው፤ አለችውም፣ ሳምሶን ሆይ፣ ፍልስጥናውያን በላይህ ላይ ናቸው! በክፍሏም ውስጥ ተሰውሮ የሚጠብቁ ሰዎች ነበሩ። እርሱ ግን ከክንዶቹ ላይ እንደ ክር አስቈረጣቸው.

    13ደሊላም ለሳምሶን አለች፣ እስካሁን ድረስ አሳታፍኸኝ እና ሐሰት ነገርኸኝ፤ በምን እንደምታሰር ንገረኝ። እርሱም አላት፣ የራሴን ሰባት ጠጕር ግራማ ከመሎሚያው ጨርቅ ጋር ብትሸረግሺ.

    14እርሷም በመያዣው አጣበቀችና አለችው፣ ሳምሶን ሆይ፣ ፍልስጥናውያን በላይህ ላይ ናቸው! እርሱም ከእንቅልፉ ተነሣ የመሎሚያውን መያዣ ከጨርቁ ጋር አውሎ ወጣ.

    15እርሷም አለችው፣ ልብህ ከእኔ ጋር ሳይኖር እንዴት ወድጄአለሁ ብለህ ትላለህ? እነዚህ ሦስት ጊዜ አሳታፍኸኝ፤ ታላቅ ኃይልህ የት እንደሚገኝም አልነገርከኝም.

    16በየቀኑ በቃላቷ በመጫን እየነቀነቀችው ሄደች፤ እስኪሆን ድረስ ነፍሱ እስከ ሞት ድረስ ተቈጥቋጭ ሆነ.

    17እርሱም ልቡን ሁሉ ነገራትና አላት፣ ራሴ ላይ ራስ መላጭ አልደረሰብኝም፤ ከእናቴ ማኅፀን ጀምሮ ለእግዚአብሔር ናዝራዊ ነኝ። ጠጕሬ ቢታጨ ኃይሌ ከእኔ ይሄዳል፤ እደክማለሁ እና እንደ ሌላ ሰው እሆናለሁ.

    18ደሊላም ልቡን ሁሉ እንደ ነገራት ባየች ጊዜ ሰዎችን ልኮ የፍልስጥናውያን አለቆችን ጠራችና አለቻቸው፣ ይህ ጊዜ ውረዱ፤ ልቡ ሁሉ አሳየኝ። አለቆቹም ወደ እርሷ መጡና ብር በእጃቸው አመጡ.

    19እርሷም በጉልበቷ ላይ እንዲተኛ አደረገችው፤ አንድ ሰው ጠርታ የራሱን ሰባት ጠጕር ግራማ እንዲቆርጥ አደረገች፤ መከራም መጫን ጀመረችበት፤ ኃይሉም ከእርሱ ሄደ.

    20እርሷም አለች፣ ሳምሶን ሆይ፣ ፍልስጥናውያን በላይህ ላይ ናቸው! እርሱም ከእንቅልፉ ተነሣና፣ እንደ ቀድሞ እመጣ እና ራሴን እነቃቃ አለ፤ እግዚአብሔር ከእርሱ እንደ ሄደ ግን አላወቀም.

    2ከዚያ ወጣ ሄደ ለአባቱና ለእናቱ ነገራቸው እንዲህም አለ፦ በቲምናት ከፍልስጥኤማውያን ሴቶች መካከል አንዲት ሴት አየሁ፤ አሁን እንግዲህ ለሚሆነኝ አግባትልኝ።

    3አባቱና እናቱም እንዲህ አሉት፦ በወንድሞችህ ሴቶች መካከል ወይም በሕዝቤ ሁሉ መካከል ሴት የለምን ወደ ያልተገረዙ ፍልስጥኤማውያን ሴቶች ሚስት ለመውሰድ ትሄድ? ሳምሶን ግን ለአባቱ እንዲህ አለ፦ አግባትልኝ፤ እጅግ አማኘችኝ።

    4ይህ ከእግዚአብሔር የሆነ መሆኑን አባቱና እናቱ አላወቁም፤ ሳምሶን ግን በፍልስጥኤማውያን ላይ ምክንያት ለመፈለግ ነበር፤ በዚያ ጊዜ የፍልስጥኤማውያን ሥልጣን በእስራኤል ላይ ነበርና።

    5ከዚያም ሳምሶን ከአባቱና ከእናቱ ጋር ወደ ቲምናት ወረዱ፤ በመንገዳቸው የቲምናት ወይን መስክን ተደርሰው ሲሄዱ እነሆ የታናሽ አንበሳ በእርሱ ላይ ጮኸ።

    6የእግዚአብሔር መንፈስ በኀይል መጣበት፤ አንበሳውንም እንደ የፍየል ጠቦት በሚቈርስ መልኩ አስቀደደው፤ በእጁም ምንም ነገር አልነበረውም፤ ነገር ግን ለአባቱም ለእናቱም ያደረገውን አላሳወቀም።

    7ወደ ታች ወረደ ከሴቲቱም ጋር ተነጋገረ፤ እርሷም ሳምሶንን እጅግ አማኘችው።
