When Mordecai learned about the plot, he informed Queen Esther, and she reported it to the king, giving credit to Mordecai.

They have bound themselves under a curse not to eat or drink until they have killed him. Now they are ready and waiting for your consent. 22 So the commander dismissed the young man and ordered him, 'Don’t tell anyone that you have informed me about this.'
