Make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends. 20 The cherubim shall have their wings outstretched upward, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings. Their faces shall be toward each other, looking toward the mercy seat. 21 Place the mercy seat on top of the ark, and put into the ark the testimony that I will give you. 22 I will meet with you there and speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, about everything I will command you regarding the Israelites.
