  • Ezek 19:1-4 : 1 Now you, take up a lamentation for the princes of Israel. 2 Say, 'What was your mother? A lioness among lions! She lay down among the young lions and raised her cubs.' 3 She brought up one of her cubs; he became a young lion. He learned to tear prey and devoured men. 4 The nations heard about him; he was trapped in their pit. They captured him with hooks and brought him to the land of Egypt.
  • Ezek 19:6 : 6 He prowled among the lions; he became a young lion. He learned to tear prey and devoured people.
  • Ezek 38:12-13 : 12 You will come to seize spoil and carry off plunder, to turn your hand against resettled ruins and against a people gathered from the nations, people acquiring livestock and goods, who live at the center of the land. 13 Sheba, Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish with all their young lions will say to you: ‘Have you come to seize spoil? Have you gathered your hordes to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and possessions, to make off with great plunder?’
  • Dan 7:4-8 : 4 The first was like a lion and had wings like an eagle. I watched until its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground to stand on two feet like a man, and a human heart was given to it. 5 Then I saw a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said to it, 'Arise, devour much flesh!' 6 After this, I looked, and behold, there was another beast, like a leopard. It had four wings of a bird on its back, and the beast had four heads. Dominion was given to it. 7 After this, I saw in the visions of the night a fourth beast, terrifying, dreadful, and exceedingly strong. It had large iron teeth and devoured, crushed, and trampled the remainder with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that came before it, and it had ten horns. 8 I was considering the horns, and behold, another horn, a small one, came up among them. Three of the first horns were uprooted before it. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things.
  • Dan 7:17-28 : 17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings that will rise from the earth. 18 But the holy ones of the Most High will receive the kingdom and possess it forever—yes, forever and ever. 19 Then I wanted to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others—exceedingly terrifying, with iron teeth and bronze claws, which devoured, crushed, and trampled the remainder with its feet. 20 And about the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn that came up, before which three fell—the horn that had eyes and a mouth speaking great things, and whose appearance was greater than the others. 21 As I was watching, that horn made war against the holy ones and was prevailing against them. 22 Until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was given in favor of the holy ones of the Most High, and the time came for the holy ones to possess the kingdom. 23 He said, 'The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on earth, different from all the other kingdoms. It will devour the whole earth, trample it, and crush it.' 24 The ten horns represent ten kings who will rise from this kingdom. Another king, different from the previous ones, will rise after them and will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak words against the Most High, oppress the holy ones of the Most High, and plan to change times and laws. The holy ones will be handed over to him for a time, times, and half a time. 26 But the court will convene, and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated, and destroyed forever. 27 Then the kingdom and dominion and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High. Their kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will serve and obey them. 28 This is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts greatly troubled me, and my countenance changed, but I kept the matter in my heart.
