Before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the middle of the throne and around it were four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind.

From what appeared to be his waist upward, and from his waist downward, I saw an appearance like fire and a brilliant radiance surrounding him. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell face down and heard the voice of one speaking.
