23 Joram turned around and fled, calling out to Ahaziah, 'Treachery, Ahaziah!'
24 Then Jehu drew his bow with full strength and shot Joram between his shoulders. The arrow pierced his heart, and he sank down in his chariot.
25 Then Jehu said to Bidkar, his officer, 'Take him and throw him on the plot of land that belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite. Remember how you and I were riding together behind Ahab his father when the LORD pronounced this judgment against him.'
26 'Surely I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons yesterday, declares the LORD, and I will repay you in this plot of land, declares the LORD. Now then, throw him on that plot of land, just as the word of the LORD declared.'
27 When Ahaziah king of Judah saw this, he fled along the road to Beth-haggan. Jehu pursued him, shouting, 'Shoot him too!' They struck him in his chariot on the way up to Gur near Ibleam, but he fled to Megiddo and died there.
10 And dogs will devour Jezebel in the plot of land at Jezreel, and no one will bury her.' Then he opened the door and fled.
11 When Jehu went out to the servants of his master, they asked, 'Is everything alright? Why did this madman come to you?' He replied, 'You know the sort of man and his babble.'
12 They said, 'That's not true! Tell us!' So he said, 'This is what he said to me: “This is what the LORD says: I anoint you king over Israel.”'
13 They quickly took their garments, spread them under him on the bare steps, blew the trumpet, and proclaimed, 'Jehu is king!'
14 So Jehu, son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. Now Joram and all Israel had been defending Ramoth-Gilead against Hazael king of Aram.
15 But King Joram had returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds the Arameans had inflicted on him when he fought against Hazael king of Aram. Jehu said, 'If this is your will, let no one escape from the city to report this in Jezreel.'
16 Then Jehu rode to Jezreel, for Joram was resting there, and Ahaziah king of Judah had gone down to see him.
4 So the young servant of the prophet went to Ramoth-Gilead.
5 When he arrived, he found the commanders of the army sitting together. He said, 'Commander, I have a message for you.' Jehu asked, 'For which one of us?' He replied, 'For you, commander.'
2 When you arrive there, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi. Go to him, make him rise from among his companions, and lead him into an inner room.

32 When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, 'Surely this is the king of Israel.' So they turned to attack him. But Jehoshaphat cried out for help.
33 When the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel, they stopped pursuing him.
29 Then King Joram returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds the Arameans had inflicted on him at Ramah in his battle against Hazael king of Aram. Ahaziah son of Jehoram, king of Judah, went down to Jezreel to visit Joram son of Ahab because he was wounded.
13 So the king said, "Go and see where he is, so I can send men to capture him." When he was told, "He is in Dothan,"
7 Ahaziah’s downfall came from God, for when he went to Jehoram, he joined him in meeting Jehu, son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.
8 While Jehu was carrying out judgment on the house of Ahab, he found the officials of Judah and the relatives of Ahaziah, who were serving him, and he killed them.
6 For this is what the Lord said to me: 'Go, station a watchman, and let him report what he sees.'
7 When he sees chariots with pairs of horsemen, riders on donkeys, riders on camels, let him carefully listen, paying close attention.
26 Then the watchman saw another man running, and he called to the gatekeeper, 'Look, another man is running alone!' The king said, 'He too brings news.'

32 When the chariot commanders realized he was not the king of Israel, they turned away from pursuing him.
13 One of his servants replied, "Let some men take five of the remaining horses that are left here. Their fate will be like that of all the Israelites who are left—yes, they will be like all the Israelites who have perished. Let us send them out to find out what has happened."
14 So they took two chariots with horses, and the king sent them after the Aramean camp, saying, "Go and see."
16 Then Jehu said, "Come with me and see my zeal for the LORD." So he had him ride in his chariot.
17 After taking counsel, Amaziah king of Judah sent word to Joash son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, challenging him to meet face to face.
23 Then Jehu and Jehonadab son of Rechab entered the temple of Baal. Jehu said to the worshipers of Baal, "Search and make sure that no servants of the LORD are here with you—only the worshipers of Baal."
8 Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash son of Jehoahaz, son of Jehu, king of Israel, with this challenge: 'Come, let us face each other in battle.'
9 Then the king sent a captain with his fifty men to Elijah. He went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of the hill, and said to him, 'Man of God, the king says, "Come down."'
10 So they went and called out to the gatekeepers of the city, telling them, "We went to the Aramean camp and found no one there—not a single man—only tethered horses and donkeys, and the tents left just as they were."
