29So David gathered all the troops, went to Rabbah, fought against it, and captured it.

21While in Egypt, Hadad heard that David had died and that Joab, the commander of the army, was dead as well. So Hadad said to Pharaoh, 'Let me go, so I may return to my own country.'

8These were descendants of the giants in Gath, and they fell at the hands of David and his men.
7When Uriah came to him, David asked about Joab’s well-being, the well-being of the troops, and the condition of the war.
16David did as God commanded him, and they struck down the Philistine army from Gibeon to Gezer.
