24Then Joseph said to his brothers, 'I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.'
3"Let us arise and go up to Bethel, and I will build an altar there to the God who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone."
23The house of Joseph spied out Bethel, which had previously been called Luz.
25Because of the God of your father, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breast and womb.
26The blessings of your father are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
5He said to them, 'I see that your father’s attitude toward me is not as it was before, but the God of my father has been with me.'
29Then the man said, 'Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed.'
30Jacob said, 'Please tell me your name.' But he replied, 'Why do you ask my name?' Then he blessed him there.
3May God Almighty bless you, make you fruitful, and multiply you, so that you become a community of peoples.
11In the dream, the angel of God said to me, 'Jacob!' And I replied, 'Here I am.'
