9Ask him to give me the cave of Machpelah, which belongs to him and is at the edge of his field. Let him sell it to me for its full price as a burial site among you.”
10Now Ephron was sitting among the Hittites, and in the hearing of all who came to the gate of his city, Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham, saying,
11“No, my lord! Listen to me: I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the presence of my people, I give it to you. Go ahead and bury your dead.”
13They carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, near Mamre, which Abraham had bought as a burial site from Ephron the Hittite.
