13The king of the Ammonites answered Jephthah’s messengers, 'When Israel came out of Egypt, they took away my land from the Arnon to the Jabbok and as far as the Jordan. Now return it peacefully.'
14Jephthah sent messengers again to the king of the Ammonites,

33He devastated twenty towns from Aroer to the vicinity of Minnith and as far as Abel Keramim. Thus Israel subdued the Ammonites.
