7What shall we say then? Is the lawe sinne? God forbyd. Neuerthelesse, I knewe not sinne, but by the lawe: For I had not knowen lust, except the lawe had sayde, thou shalt not lust.
8But sinne, takyng occasion by the commaundement, wrought in me all maner of concupiscence. For without the lawe, sinne was dead.

20But the lawe in the meane tyme entred in, that sinne shoulde encrease. But where sinne was plenteous, grace was more plenteous.
28Therfore, we holde that a man is iustified by fayth, without the deedes of the lawe.
31But Israel, which folowed the lawe of ryghteousnesse, hath not attayned to the lawe of ryghteousnesse.
28He that despiseth Moyses lawe, dyeth without mercie vnder two or thre witnesses:
12So shal euery one of vs geue accompt of hym selfe to God.
