38but he that ioyneth not his virgin in mariage, doth beter.
39The wife is bounde to the lawe, as longe as hir hussbande lyueth. But yf hir hussbande slepe, she is at liberty to mary vnto whom she wil, onely that it be done in the LORDE.
40But she is happier yf she so abyde after my iudgment. I thinke verely that I also haue the sprete of God.

4The wife hath not power ouer hir awne body, but the hussbande: & likewyse the man hath not power ouer his awne body, but the wife.
5Withdrawe not yor selues one fro another, excepte it be with the consent of both for a tyme, that ye maye geue youre selues vnto fastinge and prayer, and the come together agayne, lest Sathan tempte you for yor incontynecye.
6But this I saye of fauoure, and not of commaundemet.
7Howbeit I wolde rather yt all me were as I am. Neuertheles euery one hath his proper gifte of God: one thus, another so.
8To them verely yt are vnmaried and to wedowes I saye: It is good for the that they abyde also as I do.
9But yf they cannot absteyne, let them mary. For it is better to mary, then to burne.
10But vnto them that are maried, commaunde not I, but the LORDE, that the wife separate not her selfe from the hussbande:
11but yf she separate her selfe, yt she remayne vnmaried, or be reconcyled to hir hussbande: and let not the hussbande put awaye his wife from him.
12As for the other, vnto the saye I, not ye LORDE: Yf eny brother haue an vnbeleuynge wife, and she is content to dwell with him, let him not put hir awaye.
2For I am gelous ouer you wt godly gelousy. For I haue maried you vnto one ma, to brynge a chaste virgin vnto Christ.
14I wil therfore that the yonger wemen mary, beare children, gyde the house, to geue ye aduersary no occasion to speake euell.
7And these thinges commaunde, that they maye be without blame.
12that ye maye walke honestly towarde the that are without, and that nothinge be lackynge vnto you.
16For what knowest thou O woma, whether thou shalt saue ye ma? Or what knowest thou O man, whether thou shalt saue the woman?
17But euen as God hath distributed vnto euery one and as the LORDE hath called euery man, so let him walke: and so orden I in all congregacions.
15Knowe ye not that youre bodies are the mebres of Christ? Shal I now take the membres of Christ, and make them the membres of an harlot? God forbyd.
3For this is the will of God, euen youre sanctifienge, that ye shulde absteyne from whordome,
4yt euery one of you shulde knowe how to kepe his vessell in holynes and honoure,
5& not in the lust of concupiscence, as the Heythen which knowe not God.
5to be discrete, chaste, husswyfly, good, obedient vnto their awne hussbandes, that the worde of God be not euell spoken of.
27to make it vnto himselfe a glorious congregacion, hauynge no spot ner wrynkle, ner eny soch thinge, but that it shulde be holy and without blame.

3Whose apparell shal not be outwarde wt broyded heer, & hanginge on of golde, or in puttynge on of gorgious araye,
11But ye yonger wedowes refuse. For whan they haue begonne to waxe wanton agaynst Christ, then wil they mary,
15These thinges exercyse, and geue thy selfe vnto them, that thine increase maye be manifest vnto euery man.
9Likewyse also the wemen, that they araye them selues in comly apparell with shamfastnes and discrete behaueor, not with broyded heer, or golde, or perles, or costly araye:
33eue as I also please all men in all thinges, not sekinge myne awne profit, but the profit of many, that they mighte be saued. Folowe ye me, as I do Christ.
2For the woman yt is in subieccion to the man, is bounde vnto the lawe whyle the man lyueth: but yf the man dye, then is she lowsed from the lawe that concerneth the man.
3Yf she be now with another man, whyle the man lyueth, she shal be called a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed, then is she fre from the lawe, so that she is no wedlocke breaker, yf she be with another man.
3Let vs geue no man occasion of euell, that oure office be not euell spoken of:
32This is a greate secrete: but I speake of Christ and the congregacion.
20Let euery one abyde in the callynge wherin he is called.
