28Therefore said we, If so be that they should so say to vs or to our generations in time to come, then will we answere, Beholde the facion of the altar of the Lorde, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering nor for sacrifice, but it is a witnesse betweene vs and you.
8Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the Congregation of the Lorde, and in the audience of our God, keepe and seeke for all the commandements of the Lord your God, that ye may possesse this good lande, and leaue it for an inheritance for your children after you for euer.
30But if his children forsake my Lawe, and walke not in my iudgements:
19For I knowe him that he will commande his sonnes and his houshold after him, that they keepe the way of the Lord, to doe righteousnesse and iudgement, that the Lord may bring vpon Abraham that he hath spoken vnto him.
6That this may bee a signe among you, that whe your children shal aske their fathers in time to come, saying, What meane you by these stones?

20Declare this in the house of Iaakob, and publish it in Iudah, saying,
5Remember his marueilous woorkes, that he hath done, his wonders and the iudgements of his mouth,
6Ye seede of Abraham his seruant, ye children of Iaakob, which are his elect.
7Remember the dayes of olde: consider the yeeres of so many generations: aske thy father, and he will shewe thee: thine Elders, and they will tell thee.
10They shall teach Iaakob thy iudgements, & Israel thy Lawe: they shall put incense before thy face, and the burnt offring vpon thine altar.
21And he spake vnto ye childre of Israel, saying, When your children shall aske their fathers in time to come, & say, What meane these stones?
5Behold, I haue taught you ordinances, and lawes, as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should doe euen so within the land whither ye goe to possesse it.
13For to establish thee this day a people vnto him selfe, and that he may be vnto thee a God, as he hath said vnto thee, and as he hath sworne vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob.
