7Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, Today if you will hear His voice,
17But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification by the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

11Dearly beloved, I urge you as strangers and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul;
15Looking diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;
17For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
3Knowing this, that the testing of your faith produces patience.
17And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in reverent fear;
13Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully on the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance;
