    11 And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do something in Israel, at which both the ears of everyone who hears it shall tingle.

    12 In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house; when I begin, I will also make an end.

    14 And when Eli heard the noise of the outcry, he said, What does the noise of this tumult mean? And the man came in hastily and told Eli.

    15 Now Eli was ninety-eight years old, and his eyes were dim so that he could not see.

    16 And the man said to Eli, I am he who came out of the army, and I fled today out of the army. And he said, What happened, my son?
